Waves are all around us. Not quite the ocean waves, but waves in the form of light and sound. In this section we will discuss the unique properties of light and sound and explore various concepts and equations used to apply these concepts to the real world. Additionally, we learn about infrared spectroscopy and how compounds can be identified in the lab based on their light absorption properties. Lastly, we will explore optics which includes topics such as mirrors and lenses. You’ll learn about glasses and how they help certain individuals see more clearly.

The contents within this section closely follow the AAMC section:  Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems Section: Content Category 4D.
